During 3 days (from October 13 to October 15, 2006), a group of 12 lecturers from the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language for Foreigners conducted a fieldwork research at Vinh Phuoc Commune, Vinh Chau District, Soc Trang Province.

This fieldwork aimed at collecting data for the topic ‘The Chinese’s roles in the 3 ethnic community – Case study: The Chinese at Vinh Phuoc Commune, Vinh Chau District, Soc Trang Province.’

This research paper will be presented in the eighth scientific conference of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. This event is expected to be held at the end of December, 2006.
