VSL Club 2006 Vietnamese club (Faculty of Vietnamese studies) periodical event was held on Saturday, Nov 25, 2006 at lecture hall C304 of University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
This event, organized by the first - year Vietnamese studies B.A. program class, attracted nearly 50 foreign students. The event started at 9:30 a.m., but could not end even at 12 because of a great number of exciting games. The participants were divided into several teams that competed with each other through games such as word guessing, telling funny stories, geographical names quiz etc. These games required participants to utilize their knowledge and learn to express their ideas in Vietnamese, thus not only expanded their knowledge but also enhanced Vietnamese communication skills. The rewards for both those who won and those who did not were drinking yoghurt boxes and pre-paid meal cards that can be used at the university cafeteria. The rewards were small, but all participants left the venue energized and inspired by an exciting, useful and rewarding event. |
