On Saturday morning, May 20th, 2006, the Department of Vietnamese Studies organized the Annual Seminar for Students. Attending the seminar were representatives from the Office of International Relations and Research Affairs, lecturers of the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language for Foreigners and many undergraduate students of the department.
10 topics were presented in the seminar by the students who are currently in their 3rd and 4th year, and the students of Pusan University of Foreign Studies - Group 5, who are participating in an exchange program at the department. The topics mainly focus on the K’ho people at Lac Duong district, Lam Dong province, exploring the cultural, social and economical life of the ethnic group. This is the result of a field work carried out at this local area last month. In addition, there were topics related to Vietnamese phonetics, and Korean culture aspects such as food, drink and movies. This seminar was an opportunity for the students to express their knowledge of Vietnamese culture and society as well as to demonstrate their abilities to use the Vietnamese language. The seminar successfully finished, giving the students insights into Vietnamese culture, society and people. |
