In accordance with Decision No. 1240/QD-DHQG-DH&SDH (November 4, 2008) (Vietnam National University - Hochiminh city), Faculty of Vietnamese studies will inaugurate new Master's program in Vietnamese studies.

Eligibility: Vietnamese or foreign citizens who have a Bachelor degree. Foreign citizens need not take the entrance exam.

Academic calendar 2008 – 2009:

- Application opens in November 2008

- Preparation course starts at the beginning of December 2008

- Entrance exam (for Vietnamese applicants): February 2009

- Master's program starts in May 2009

Academic program:

Students enrolled in the Master's program in Vietnamese studies should complete 30 credits, including 5 modules: Economic – Social studies, History, Culture, Linguistics and Teaching of Vietnamese as a foreign language.
