ImageAs a part of "Each year one charity house" plan, a group of Faculty of Vietnamese studies' senior students have collected donations from regular undergraduate students of the Faculty. With the logistic support of District 10 Red Cross Association, 12 million Vietnam Dong collected from this campaign has been used to build a house for Mr. Ngo Van Ut's family, a family experiencing major financial difficulties in District 10.

On 22nd February 2008, a ceremony was held by District 10 Red Cross Association when the newly - built house was handed over to Mr. Ngo Van Ut's family with VNS student representatives in attendance. In the ceremony, VNS students also handed over to the family an electric fan as a gift from the students. This is a profoundly meaningful activity initiated by foreign students studying at Faculty of Vietnamese studies.
