Enrollment Procedure

All foreigners with a Vietnamese visa are welcomed to our Faculty. For those who want to apply for a Vietnamese student visa, the following documents should be submitted to the Faculty

Copy of passport.
Application form.
Two recent photographs (not more than a year old, passport size)
Detailed curriculum vitae for Overseas Vietnamese (those who were born in Vietnam, place of birth, reason departed Vietnam, when, contact address(es) of relatives in Vietnam).

Although there is no application deadline for the Vietnamese Language Training Program (Academic Program 1), an applicant who is not in Vietnam at the time of application is advised to submit all of the documents at least two weeks before the proposed arrival in Vietnam.

Costs of processing applications from abroad are US$50 (paid to the Faculty upon arrival). The student visa will be collected at a diplomatic office of Vietnam in his / her country (this office is selected by the applicant).

In addition to an application for a student visa, those who want a research visa to do research and fieldwork are required to provide the following:

Copies of passport, certified transcript of records, copies of certificates and diploma, etc.
Detailed description of working program in Vietnam and research proposals (specific topics, objectives, methodology, Vietnamese academic advisor, etc.)
Letter of recommendation (for applicant registered as a research student): 2 recommendations, one from university advisor of the applicant and another one from a Vietnamese professor who specializes in the applicant’s field of study.
Approval notification letter from a Vietnamese academic advisor.

For research students who attend Vietnamese classes at our Faculty (at least 6 periods per week). Administrative fee to set up a research program: US$10 per month. For those who do research without attending Vietnamese classes, the fee is US$20 per month.
