On the February 24th, 2007, the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language for Foreigners of the USSH held an opening ceremony welcoming 4 students coming from the APU.

The VNS Annual Year-end Party 2006 cum New Year Party 2007 was held on 28th December 2006 at restaurant "Forever", with high - rank officers of University of Social Sciences and Humanities, honorable guests and especially, 400 students studying at the Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and their families in attendance. Everyone who attended the party brought a small gift to exchange with others at the party. 

Saturday, Sept 16^th, 2006, a group of teachers and students of the Department of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language for Foreigners participated in a tour to Mekong Delta, called “Travel to the Land of Waterways”.
