Our Faculty is now opening the class in order to provide not only basic knowledge of Vietnamese Culture-History and Law but also Vietnamese review lessons for those want to get a Vietnamese citizenship. The details of the class are as follows:

Aiming to strengthen academic research and teaching capacity of Faculty staff members, the Faculty of Vietnamese studies has established new thematic research clusters as follows:

1. Vietnamese - Southeast Asian culture and history (Cluster leader: Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Yen Tuyet)

2. Linguistics and Vietnamese language (Cluster leader: Dr. Nguyễn Hoàng Trung)

3. Vietnamese literature (Cluster leader: Trần Thị Minh Giới M.A.)

Each thematic research cluster will develop its detailed work schedule during the Fall semester of school year 2009 - 2010.

Theo quyết định của ĐH QG TP HCM, Khoa tiếng Việt có thể mở các lớp học các môn chính trị nằm trong chương trình Cử nhân. Sau khi học xong các môn này tại Khoa, sinh viên nước ngoài hoàn toàn có khả năng chuyển điểm về trường của mình trong khuôn khổ Đại học Quốc gia Tp HCM. Dự kiến các lớp chính trị sẽ được mở vào tháng 3 năm 2009, với hình thức học kết hợp giữa học tập trung và học trực tuyến.
