Fieldwork is a compulsory program of regular students at universities in Vietnam. In recent years, foreign students, including mainly Korean students, third year regular students in the Vietnamese Studies Faculty, University of Social Sciences and Humanities HCMC will go to different provinces of Vietnam, such as Phan Rang, Hoi An, Vinh Long, Hue, Quy Nhon, Phu Yen ...
In the fieldtrip, students apply methods such as quantitative research, qualitative research, participant observation… which they were learned in class, under the supervision of Prf. Phan Thi Yen Tuyet and Dr. Nguyen Duc Loc. Through the actual trip in different places in Vietnam, students will have change to meet and contact with people in there, they will also know more about the traditional handicrafts, temples, villages, traditional food, the early market at 3.00am... After the trip, in addition of the improvement of Vietnamese skills and scientific research methods, foreign students had a real life experienced in different areas in Viet Nam, it influenced a lot on students’ emotion.
