IV. TUITION (effective from February 2023 to August 2023)

- Tuition must be paid in cash (in Vietnam Dong - VND) or transfer

- Tuition must be paid before the course start date.

- 03% discount for those who pay the entire course tuition 5 working days prior to the starting date
Example: If the course starts on the 20th of the month, 03% discount applies if the tuition is paid on the 13 and before (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and holidays).

Tuitions and fees of Vietnamese Language Classes

Faculty of Vietnamese Studies is announcing the policy for tuitions and fees of short courses, effective from February 1st, 2023, as follows:

I.   IN-PERSON CLASSES

  1. Private classes (Vietnamese language, workshops on Vietnamese culture, history and society)

Công tác giảng dạy tiếng Việt ngắn hạn cho người nước ngoài luôn được xem là một nhiệm vụ quan trọng của khoa Việt Nam học. Hoạt động này đã và đang diễn ra vô cùng sôi nổi và có nhiều khởi sắc. Sự khởi sắc ấy không chỉ nằm ở số lượng học viên tìm đến khoa ngày càng đông mà còn ở các chương trình liên kết với các trường đại học, các tổ chức nước ngoài ngày càng được mở rộng; vị thế và uy tín đào tạo của khoa Việt Nam học vì thế được nâng cao trên trường quốc tế. 

Với đội ngũ giảng viên giàu kinh nghiệm, tận tâm; với uy tín đào tạo chất lượng, hiệu quả, Khoa Việt Nam học đã trở thành điểm đến đáng tin cậy của nhiều sinh viên, học viên, du khách có nhu cầu học tiếng Việt và những vấn đề liên quan đến Việt Nam học. Mỗi năm, số học viên đến đăng ký học tiếng Việt khoảng hơn 5.000 lượt người (năm học 2018-2019 là 6.822 lượt). Số lượng học viên học tiếng Việt mỗi năm có sự biến động theo tình hình phát triển kinh tế của thế giới, nhưng về cơ bản, con số đó có sự tăng dần và tăng mạnh từ năm 2012 đến 2019 Đó là một thành công rất đáng tự hào của tập thể cán bộ, giảng viên, nhân viên Khoa Việt Nam học.

Periodic evaluation tests are arranged between students and teachers for the purpose of measuring the student’s progress.

Certificate of Attendance:

At any time, a Certificate of Attendance can be issued to those who do not take the evaluation tests.

Certificate of Achievement:

  • Certificate of Achievement - Elementary Level (Level A) corresponds to the Upper Elementary Level after the student has completed at least 320 periods of Vietnamese instruction (VSL Textbooks 1 and 2) and satisfactory completion of the final evaluation test.
  • Certificate of Achievement – Intermediate Level (Level B) for at least 320 additional periods of Vietnamese instruction (VSL Textbooks 3 and 4) beyond Level A and satisfactory completion of the final evaluation test.
  • Certificate of Achievement – Advanced Level (Level C) corresponds to the Advanced Course that covers 320 additional periods of Vietnamese instruction beyond Level B and satisfactory completion of the final evaluation test.

A Certificate of Achievement will be issued to those who meet the following requirements:

+ Student Attendance

The evaluation test for any certificate will be organized only when the student has attended 90% of the total class hours.

+ Final Evaluation Test

The final evaluation test will include several sections. The student must achieve at least 50% on each section to pass the exam.

+ Accreditation

In the Certificate of Achievement, the Vietnamese course name, the length of study and the level are fully noted. The certification is recognized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, and can be transferred to other

This program is designed to provide Vietnamese language courses for all foreigners who intend to learn Vietnamese language to meet their specific needs. Every 2 weeks, students are welcome to join classes organized according to their purpose and level. Students can be in different kinds of classes, such as individual classes where intensive or special courses are offered, or group classes that facilitate conversation and cultural exchanges.
